We offer a wide range of surface finishes, including nickel plating, antique brass, gunmetal, matte black, rose gold, PVD coating, and our proprietary scratch-resistant finish. All plating processes are conducted by our certified plating partner facilities in Central Taiwan, and we can provide REACH-compliant and nickel-free options upon request — particularly important for products sold in the EU and markets with strict chemical regulations. Please specify your target market when placing an inquiry so we can recommend the appropriate finish.
How much does mold development cost, and do I own the mold?
Mold development fees vary depending on product complexity, typically ranging from USD $300 to $1,500 per mold. The mold fee is a one-time tooling investment — once paid, the mold belongs exclusively to you and is stored at our factory for ongoing production use. We do not share molds between clients. If you move production elsewhere in the future, we can discuss mold transfer arrangements.
What certifications and compliance documents can you provide?

ECHO METALART holds the following certifications and can provide supporting documentation upon request:

  • ICS (Initiative for Compliance and Sustainability) — covers labor rights, workplace safety, and environmental responsibility
  • D-U-N-S® Registration — international business credibility verification by Dun & Bradstreet

How do I start a custom buckle project from scratch? What is the process?
Starting a custom project is straightforward. First, share your concept — whether it's a sketch, reference image, or a brief description of the function and dimensions you need. Our development team will then provide a 3D rendering or technical drawing for your approval. Once the design is confirmed, we proceed with mold development and produce physical samples for your review. Mass production begins only after you have approved the sample. The typical timeline from concept to approved sample is 3–4 weeks.
