The scratch-resistant buckle is a standard plate, pin, center bar, or automatic buckle finished with Echo Metalart's proprietary scratch-resistant surface treatment, developed in-house to address the primary wear failure of conventional electroplated hardware. Standard plated finishes are susceptible to visible scratching under normal contact conditions — belt loops, packaging, and daily handling. Our treatment applies a hardened protective layer over the electroplated base, significantly extending surface integrity under abrasion for premium belt brands and products where long-term finish durability is a defined quality standard.
Echo Metalart manufactures scratch-resistant buckles in Nyrstar high-purity zinc alloy, electroplated to standard specification before application of the proprietary treatment. The protective layer bonds to the plated surface without altering color, texture, or dimensional tolerances. Available base finishes include nickel, gunmetal, matte black, and satin gold. Standard widths cover 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 32mm, 35mm, and 40mm across all major buckle types.
